News & Notes.

CLOSINGS:

• The Selectmen's office will be closed at noon Wednesday, December 24 through Friday, December 26 for the Christmas holiday.
• The Town Clerk/Tax Collector's office will be closed from noon Wednesday, December 24 through Saturday, December 27 for the Christmas Holiday.
• The Selectmens's office will be closed at noon Wednesday, December 31 and all day January 1.

The Selectmen have a work session Monday, December 29 at 1:00pm at the Town House.

• The Conservation Commission will not be meeting in December. Next scheduled meeting will be January 29, 2009.

THE GROTON PLANNING BOARD WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE RATIFICATION OF THE EXISTING ZONING ORDINANCE PASSED AT THE 2007 TOWN MEETING WHICH ESTABLISHED THE TOWN AS A RURAL RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT AND ALLOWED NON-RESIDENTIAL USES BY SPECIAL EXCEPTION AT 7:00P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2009 AT THE GROTON TOWN HOUSE LOCATED AT 754 NORTH GROTON ROAD, GROTON NH.
